From parts unknown

Shuttle and graceful
they seek the need to
experience

Experts of there field
They are crafty gifted
person's who compare
to expand.

They challenge to gain position
there rankings are chores and
labored

Those beneath others
Challenge others officially
and unofficially to move up
In rankings to qualify for the
Prize.

Contention, prepares the champion for all sorts. Preparation, skill and determination.
 The value of it's purpose, a cause endearing a goal defined.

A champion speaks;
" I out wrestled him to qualify!
I bested him in contention;
now that he's champion,
I'm gonna beat him for the belt!"
