Maiden of my dreams

# Number One
Maiden of my Dreams

One night this maiden walked out of the mist,
Enticed and awed her lips I wanted to kiss.
Her hair flowed red with emerald green eyes,
Her face was that of an angel, a voice to make you cry.
She pleaded to me softly and asked me to stay,
Just as I turned an started to walk away.
I had to be dreaming it just couldn’t be real,
My heart was beating faster as my love was hers to steal.
This lady was special for this I knew,
But how to love her I had not a clue.
I wasn’t worthy and surly it wasn’t meant.
For there was no doubt this maiden was heaven sent.
Yet I pulled her close and kissed her sweet lips,
Her skin was so soft, scented with rose hips.
I knew I had to be dreaming, this angel can’t be mine,
When she whispered yes you are and in your dreams I will be thine.
