Last Day of June
I need to screem, to still the silence, that seems to chase the shadows over the tombstones of your presence.
My body is drenched with your scent. My heart's dying, on you it was spent.
Take my soul from me, I no longer want to be free. Hold it tightly. Tenderly. Share with me, the darknesses blackened majesty.
Oh, darkened Angel. Shed your light all over me. Let your blood cover me, and stay.... just for today. Say you'll take me far away, where we will lie and die together, if we may. To live again in death bosom, where we shall play. And somehow, we will find our way to live forever in Love's glow. Tell me now. Let this be so. Take all the colors from my rainbow. This is what I need the most, you know. This you most surely, know....
How beautiful is your darkness ....so stained with blood, its blackness is dripping wetness, and if I could, I would feel your soul touch mine with the steadfastness of your emptyness.
There is the strength of air, that helps me to know I am sure, your touch let's me know you care...you rise and
lead me where the angels are crying tears, watering the dead flowers in bloom as death welcomes us, so soon, to soon, for this parting.....on the last day of June.
About this poem
June was the month of my dear Grandma Pauline's birth. For that reason it has always been special to me. And in my life, many things started or ended in June. So I leave the reader with the following thoughts: what would be your thoughts on the last day of June?
