The Prison Doors
Meshack Bwoyele Keya 1960 (Vihiga)
The Judge's gavel took not long to fall
Guilty as charged did become the verdict
In gaol went the prisoner to the cell
His Release was not part of the prospect.
Sooner than later he heeded the call
Then he began plotting his escape fact
The warden was his ally in the toll
Treasure was burried in a tree precinct
The warden swallowed the bait in a ball.
Operation dig out treasure in pact
It was the wrong tree he managed to scroll
To change positions became the good act
Warden became prisoner in the cell
Prison door set free prisoner exact
