My Heart – Part 2

My heart is empty now
And I feel in more pain;
How can I cure it
Knowing life all to be in vain?

I am trying with
All my powers of precision,
But still all will end
Without any decision.

Death is something for which
My heart always yearns;
I was living like a fish out of water,
Breathless and gasping by turns.

My heart could be something
Which I could share,
But it is too dead a gift
For you to bear.

Let me be sad,
And let happiness be for you
What are all my needs,
Compared to those of you?

I could not live
After a glimpse into your heart;
You should not want
A look into my sad heart.

Are we not all just waiting to die?
Why am I needed to live,
Why can I not just say goodbye?

Without me you may
Find excuses to live;
All mine have gone and drained me
Of what I had left to give.
