i dont not want to live

I don’t not want to live
In other words I want to live
Not like this in a concrete cage
I want to experience life
At every turn and direction and age
For every smile and tear and strife
I want to stand on the back of a bike
And scream in the rain
Watch the sun come down on a roof
Even feel all the pain
Burn a marshmallow to ashes
Light up the world with matches
Feel what it feels like to be wanted
Even if I had been taunted
Hold hands with a beloved
Fly higher than the doves
Swallow the wind while I’m up there
For who knows how long I’ll be aware
I want to breathe in gasps
Travel the world without maps
Find my purpose; what I was created for
Discover that I am meant for more
But I guess I wouldn’t mind if I died
If at least I had lived with a full mind
