The Landslide

Zaheerah 2002 (Walvis Bay)

And I fell in love
With this priceless beauty of words.
That never once uttered a hello.
I fell deep, hard and fast.
Like a landslide
On a rainy day
It all came crashing down.

And I fell in love
With this idea of not falling.
That I'm stable.
I fell slow and soft.
Like a feather
On a bright summer's day
It drifted down.

And I fell in love
With this understanding of hope.
That I'm gonna make it.
I fell wholly and entirely
Like leaves
In a dull autumn day.
It fell with precision.

And I fell in love
With you I guess.
That it's you
I fell mercilessly and fully- I shown
Like sunflowers
In a laughter filled spring day.
I fell hard.
