Shade of darkness

It's simple, it's complicated, it's deep and it's dark
Without an ending it goes round and round and leaves a mark.
Of course I talk and yes they stand and listen
They just walk away and day I bark and in the end, the darkness is hidden

What do I see when I'm alone in the shadows of my walls?
When there's more to my imagination than the happiness that fades away,
When I can't get little happiness without having to cry a day
When all I can do is think not try when I lay,
I see nothing, my pain is so deep

All i want is to be happy
Longing for comfort that can take away this grief
In all eternity, I've just wanted to be happy, to feel different
My tears fall down every single day, in the shadows of darkness
Where I'm alone and everybody can judge less

When I'm at my weakest point, I can't fight it anymore
My dreams are right here, crushing in front of my eye
I want someone to feel it too
But my pain is more than blue
It sticks harder than glue
It pains my chest more than a flue

But I'm used  because it's nothing new
Maybe it's just the way I grew
Away from the rest of the crew
I try my best but it's few
When will I rest?
From my shade of darkness

About this poem

I wrote this poem based on my life. How I simply don't know what I feel and what I want, how I'm trapped between who I want to be and what this world wants me to be. It's all about my sadness that's now like a part of me. Growing up I had to be different from all my age mates around me, not because I wanted to but because of the circumstances, I try hard to change things, work hard but at the same time everything feels like it's going nowhere, like I'm wasting my time. Yet I don't give up, I love this poem because I expressed my feelings and instantly fell in love with the way everything came out, I write when I'm breaking down so I don't really know what I'm writing until I'm done. . I hope everyone loves it and finds it useful.
