Covid, not just a virus

ANSITA RAY 2006 (Bhubaneswar)

*COVID-NOT JUST A VIRUS!*

SUDDEN TOGETHERNESS WAS STRANGE
MEETING PEOPLE WAS AN OFFENCE!
BUT I STILL KNOW IT WOULD CHANGE
AND LIFE WOULD COME OUT OF  LITTLE GRANGE!

THE FAMILY WE POSSESS WAS CHIEF
THIS TOOK A PANDEMIC TO BELIEVE!
NOW ALL I HAVE IS TO GRIEF
CAUSE’ MY HOPE TOO IS CLEAVED!

NOW ORDNANCE IS THE MASK
THIS IS OUR SOLEMN TASK
JUST FOR A WHILE, STAY AWAY
IF NOT LIFE WOULD BE A SWAY

WE WILL BEAT THIS EPIDEMIC TOGETHER
SOON LIFE WOULD BE FULL OF HEATHER!
SHORTLY THIS WOULD BE A TALE TO NARRATE
SOON THIS WOULD ABATE!

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN BY ANSITA RAY.
