healing hearts

joanna scott 1967 (Birmingham)

Memories are a distant future
where we've dealt with all the pain
where we put it on the guilty
and we've stopped taking blame

The hurt that
's been left amongst us
will stay forever and a day
until we deal with what happen
so we can let it slip away

It will all be future stories
where we get to have our say
where our words will help so many
and the pain it melts away

The lessons that we learn
from the pain in which we dealt
every one was a lesson
in a story to be felt

Never giving up
is the hardest work of all
we were tailor made
then some one let us fall

It's time to pick up the pieces
and turn the darkness in to light
it's time to take your life back
and use your goodness in your fight
