Loneliness
Anna Ricker 1992 (United States)
Loneliness eats you alive
It's like a monster gnawing at you to get by
No matter what you do, it's always there
It builds up, questions arise, you just stare
Off into space, room full of people
You try fit in but you still feel illegal
Wondering around walking Earth
Alone, empty, loss of self-worth
Seclusion but wanting to get out
It seems like nobody cares what you're about
So you just sit by yourself, hoping this leaves
Loneliness is a monster, a monster that thieves
