Run
Muscle contracts with each brazen step
Heart beats with each moment of brief stillness
Spirit lunges forward into the light, into the night
The world keeps revolving in slow motion
Running is a way of life
A truth that speaks to the sweat
A spirit that whispers to the next mile
A moment of clarity made by an emotional outlet
All the places, all the miles
All the stories that unfold with cadence
All the reminders to not give up
All of the struggles of the past,
Shrink into the distance
Breathe in
Breathe out
Just breathe
Breathe in the sun, the salt, the blood and tears
Running over fears
Adding life to the years
Breathe in, breathe out
Now is the time to let it all out
