L'Indien d'Amérique,

Du haut de ces rocheuses, un bruissement, se trahit du vent,
Surplombant les lieux ce cri résonne au loin, tel faucon d'antan,
Des falaises épurées, l'homme peau cuivré paré de glaise,
Danse au son de ses ancêtres, l'aspect fait de plumes de braises,
Dans la fumée de vapeur d'herbe,, vit la transe à souhait,
Quand l'aigle survole ce ciel rougissant, se voit un des traits,
Brandissant son tomahawk, bardé du costume coloré,
Au bruit du tambour saccadé, s'envole les âmes rêvées,
S'achemine en cavalcade, la suite endiablée des ondes,
En propageant l'épilogue jusque dans la nuit vagabonde.
