This Life I Make

I live my life day after day,
I let my inner self show me the way.
Everyday I am put to the test,
So I do what I know is best.
Through the test of time,
I go wherever the wind may blow,
Accept what is and take it slow.
I manage to weather every storm,
Made sense of anything out of the norm.
Quietly, I see with clear eyes.
The brightness of the sun,
The charming radiance of the moon.
I hear the melodies of the birds,
The dawn singing at my door.
As the years roll by,
I am wiser and older.
I look forward with hope for tomorrow.
Nothing worth my while shall escape.
So wherever the roads may lead,
I will do whatever it takes
In this life I make.
