Will you?

Will you love me tomorrow?
When all my wrinkles start to show,
When my hair turns gray,
When each strand start to fall,
Each and everyday?

Will you love me tomorrow?
As I go through the change of life,
Not knowing or not accepting,
Always thinking or maybe denying
Each and everyday?

Will you love me tomorrow?
When my passion starts to fade,
Only wanting the comfort of your arms,
Scared to let go,
Each and everyday?

Will you love me tomorrow?
When you look into my eyes
You’ll see mostly tears,
Knowing how hard to part will be,
Moments are brief and shadowed
Each and everyday?

Will you love tomorrow?
When summer fades and autumn comes,
One by one our friends will go,
The promise never to forget,
As I count the moments pass,
Each and everyday?

About this poem

I’ve been married for 34 years now. This was written on my tenth wedding anniversary. This was a time when questions just pops in my head about the future of my marriage.
