Heart on the Rocks

I don’t understand, why they had to kill him?
Up late night trying to understand the motive.
I’m toss and turning waking up in a cold sweet not knowing.
Pleading to the lord to tell me, why they took him?
Memories of that night on reply.
I Pray every night that it go away.
drinking every night trying to forget the day .
Sleeping with my demons in this cold bed.
Heart racing…I can’t take it.
I think it’s code red.
Numb to the pain and lost like I’m on meds
My heart on ice you can put in the glass of depression and pour bottle of dejection, while sipping it through a straw of rejection.
I should’ve told you I love you more.
Thinking we were going to be together until we old.
So Bath in my tears of regret
I walked with this pain, while my heart shedder
My heart won’t be attached until I draw my last breath
