Dance With Me

Pamela Tennant 1960 (Littleton, Colorado)

Oh the wind on my skin
kissed by God
warmed by the Son
His divine love within

Twirling with inexpressible joy
leaping like a wild dream
chasing the Dreamer;
a cherished sweet Envoy

Oh how the heart flies
my soul leaps and lunges
pirouetting into stilled arabesque
breathing reverent sighs

Every muscle stilled
all senses alert
basking in the Spirit
of Love fulfilled.

About this poem

This is a whimsical metaphorical dance with God. I often dream of the music of Heaven.

Pamela Tennant

Hello! My friends call me Pami, please do call me that. I am a truth-seeker, love keeper, soul dancing sextagenerian living on the edge. I am married, parent to one narcissitic but demanding furpurr and a humble poet. Words are my lifeline. The written word which is so confusing these days are the lyrics in the melody of life to which I dance. I hope to have many partners. Love on Love loud and proud, Love Strong! more…
