Forbidden Lady

Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

I met her on the fly
it was late at night
she came in, body built for sin
I watched her way
the sexy play
so simple yet so fine

She's a forbidden lady
and she'll stay that way
no one's heart will she win
a lady with class
yet fierce and crass
she thinks love is a sin

So I had to talk
she sensed I was off
quickly comin' her way
she tried to run
blending in with everyone
exit signs she seeks

But I caught
her before she balked
then she's askin'
'what do you want from me....'

She's a forbidden lady
and she'll stay that way
'cause love is not what she needs
she loves freedom, all on her own
demanding her individuality

Her style so unique
knocked me off my feet
and I had to tell her so
but she said
she wasn't interested
and with that I watched her go

She's a forbidden lady
and she'll stay that way
walkin' right out the door
And I'll never be the same
this heartbreaker with no name
it's her I'll love
forevermore.
