When I Make It

Nicky Byrd 2004 (New York)

Your gonna know my name, an option you don't have
It’ll be funny if you doubt me, get in my face and laugh

In a few years, you broke and upset

When I'm living lavish, acting like a threat

Don’t care if you wont listen, make money my own way

Haters still gone listen, never care about what you say

Gone have all the girls, they only want you when you make it

Met you on a plane, always loved on the fit

Only want what you can’t have, I'm on a path to glisten

Stopped getting in my feels, heard The Weeknd and listened

Really think I’m playing, it’s all about confidence

They want a 9-5, we wanna see the bands

It’s clear imma forget you, while you see me on t.v.

“Damn that’s the kid, he really knew the key”

Do what you gotta do, even if that means your cold

Life’s about taking risks, all bout feeling bold

Can never get distracted, by people who don’t care

Don’t be making “friends”, they only want you for your flare

I’m grinding hard now, writing everyday

You partying now?, your life be filled with greys

No I don’t feel bad, about the dreams that I want

It’s just your fault, I’ll be the one you haunt
