A moment in my mind

Broken beyond repair.

Hiding, retreating into a dark mind.
Stuck in a cycle going nowhere.
Fighting a mind that knows you more than you do.

It will never give an inch.
It will never fight fair.
Hell bent on a downward spiral.
Hold tight, don’t be scared.

Thoughts so dark.
So cold.
Seriously lacking any care.

At their peak they are so low.

They demand a response.
Maybe a cut through skin and bone.
Quick release.
Lifting the lid off the boiling pot?

These are examples of what goes through my mind.
Despite all the help, the tablets and support.

So where am I supposed to go?
Should I just give in and let go?
Is the temptation of silence, the way to go?

Or is this just part of times old woe?

Well let’s see how the rest of the day goes.

About this poem

This is about my thoughts on a random day. Feeling low and seeking a way to lift me out of the dark.
