Fading Hours

Scott Felgner 1979 (Ridgewood, New Jersey)

Once blinded by love, now scared by truth
Drowning in sorrow while living in faith
Judging my darkness while forgetting my light
Self hypocrite dives deeper into my self righteous sin
Living for me and caring for all
I build myself up so your whispers can tear me down
Scatterbrained I wander through the dark scared, full of fear, self doubt and hate
My once bright direction fades into the fire
My shadow cries with pity for my soul
My soul becomes weak as the minutes disappear into hours
But I strive on impatiently only for the future to fade away, wasted again
