Confident Not Cocky

The confidence I have acquired,
To remove doubt from my abilities.
Can be misunderstood as being cocky.
With an upscale helium induced arrogance.
And to this,
I can only reply...
What has been earned with time invested,
Has much to do with one's overwhelming...
Presence of having self assurance.

I will do my very best,
To qualify as a competitor in a contest.
With my eyes on the finish line to win.
Since...
I do not just want to qualify to enter a race.
I want to hear it heard that I have won!
Knowing what I have done to deserve it.
