THE DEATH TRAIN

Late one misty night
An old steam train's rolling by,
Stopping for the newly dead
Or those about to die.

Yes, the death train is rolling
Along on rusty rails,
Taking soulless passengers
Along death's awful trail.

Skeletons and cadavers
Sit with the newly dead,
Riding out of the living world
To wherever the death train heads.

As it rolls on for eternity
There is no escaping the death train,
Picking up corpses, skulls, and the dying
Hurtling across sand-blown plains.

When the living hear its whistle
They know to stay safely locked inside,
Afraid to even watch the train
As it rattles on through the night.

The death train is coming
For everyone some night,
And hearing its unholy whistle
Many have died of fright.

THE END
