WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE
You left us too quickly
You left us too soon
Not even a hint
Nor one single clue.
We had no idea that you would leave us this way.
Leaving us all so helpless
And our hearts all astray.
I didn't get to tell you "I Love You"
I didn't get to say "Goodbye"
All I was left with
Is all these tears in my eyes.
You weren't even sick
You were still so young
Now you have your wings
And Life does go on.
About this poem
I lost my momma 6 years ago suddenly without any warning. She wasn't sick and healthy as an ox, she had a stroke and was gone just like that. So this poem is deciated to my momma.
