Culprit

I never told you
   how much I cried
The very moment
   you left my side

My breath was taken
   from deep within
The floor I walked on
   turned wafer thin

A darkened shadow
   consumed my day
This horrid feeling
   won't fade away

I feel so lost
   and so alone
Completely trapped
   all on my own

I wait forgotten
   for your return
You showed no care
   truth no concern

Life passed me by
   days turned to night
My heart did pain
   done with this fight

Reason confused
   my focus blurred
Nothing made sense
   my stomach stirred

As urge does fade
   I must forfeit
My insides dead
   you're the culprit
