If

Tim Halliday 1968 (Wakefield West Yorkshire England)

If all my friends were stars, you’d of be the sun
If all the world was numbered you’d of been my number one
Although my heart is torn I hope you’d be my thread
If all the love was coloured it’s now black instead of red
But now my world is dark withdrawn without any light
My days are grey & lonely something doesn’t seem quiet right
Helpless tears I cry filled with sorrow laughter gone endless night
So no more smiles happiness or banter just no will to win the fight
