Logically Illlogical

Logically Illogical
Why do they do it, I’ll never know.
They lie and cheat and steal
But why, oh why do they do such things?
Not pain nor guilt do they feel.
For their hearts are cold as snow.

Why do they do it, no one can say.
Whether a heist so big,
Or a prank that hardly stings.
A façade with makeup and wig,
Or a wallet swiped in broad of day.

How do they do it, I sometimes wonder.
A lone hacker who works from a far.
A crooked kingpin, such wealth he brings.
To a skilled gem thief, who schemes in his car.
With no regard for the slightest blunder.

How can they do it, what was their plan?
For greed or wealth, revenge perhaps?
To quench the pain that darkness sings?
By grief or pain or fill the gaps?
No, it’s simply just the way of man.
