I Remember

I remember the times I thought our love would never end.

I remember when you said you love me. I remember when you said goodbye. You told me you would never leave me. (never leave my side.) But why am I standing here all alone, baby. It's plain to see why you left me in the cold like this. You were embarrassed, ashamed and foolish. I was there for you. But you played the fool. Letting go of the only person who loved you. What others thought of you, I looked past. Jeopardized my image. Just to try and make it last. See you through the madness you've caused in your life. So sad, you thought it was cool. I would have never left your side like you've left mine. I choose to Standing here alone because I remember all the lies.

I remember when you said goodbye. I remember when you made me cry. I remember all the lies you gave. You think I'm a fool. But the joke is on you.

Remember when you played games. It changed how I felt about you. I became a savage being around you. I remember how I felt when I cried. It hurt so bad inside. Many nights I laid alone thinking of ways to get back at you. For making my heart so blue. I thought I would never play the fool. Too wise and wise enough to know destroying your life would only ruin mine. That is why I decided to say goodbye.

I remember, when we said goodbye. I remember, when you made me cry. I remember all the lies you gave. You think I am a fool, but the joke is on you. I remember the moment I realize it was over. That was the moment I said goodbye.

I remember.
