Melodious transience
My soul stepped lightly
On the forest floor
And delight! I felt ninety.
The mountains called
Into the moonlit shore.
Say! My spirit was enthralled.
I speak a secret language
With those who soar.
Grant! A most wonderful pilgrimage.
But I stepped away from the sun, the sea, the melodies,
Into a world of buildings, grey roads, horn blares
And I miss the melodious transience of life, of peace.
I crave a lost world, a fairyland.
