The me I once was

Tammy Hanrahan 1977 (Canada)

I have a darkness within me
I am as empty as the abyss
I am a lost and empty soul
I am sure noone will ever miss
I was once filled with light and love
Full of happiness and laughter
All that is gone from me now
I dont deserve a happy ever after
I am like a zombie or a robot now
Just going through the basic motions
Doing what's needed without any feeling
Being clueless with out any notions
All traces of the me that I once was
They are just memories so very far away
The me that I once was I will never see again
I am gone so very far away ... to stay
