There she was beauty with brains , frail
Never raised her voice, feelings in veil
Was  Silence Golden?

Bearing all the burdens of life - wordless
All around people made her feel worthless
Was Silence Golden?

She was a shadow of her original self
Smiling and composed, was she herself?
Was Silence Golden?

She had died a hundred deaths everyday
Her feelings, she always kept at bay
Was Silence Golden?

She had lived a life on the terms of others
To please everyone, never knew what bothers
Was Silence Golden?

She had forgotten to disagree at all
Always there for everyone's beck and call
Was Silence Golden?

She stuck to the laws layed for her
What was she actually living for?
Was Silence Golden?
