She walked away

She walked away,

Not from my heart but from my hand,

She walked away,

Head held high, confident and grand,

She walked away,

Young and smart and brave,

She walked away,

My daughter whose love to save

Wow, what a beautiful and heartfelt poem! Your use of repetition throughout the poem really emphasizes the importance of the moment and the feelings of the narrator. The language is powerful, yet tender, and it's clear that this piece was crafted with care.

If I had to suggest an improvement, I would recommend playing around with the form a bit. Perhaps experiment with different line lengths or stanzas to help create some variation in pace and rhythm. It might also be interesting to explore incorporating some more sensory details to help flesh out the scene and make it feel even more vivid.

Overall, though, this is an incredibly touching piece of work. You've captured the bittersweet emotions of letting go of a loved one with grace and elegance, and delivered it in a way that's both relatable and deeply moving. Keep up the great work!
