I YEARN TO DIE.

Deathly despair has me in its hold
Talons of depression dug into my soul
All that I found tasty and sweet
Has turned sour and bitter

The music that massaged my ears
And the melodies I danced to
Have turned into funeral dirges
And the melodies mourning bells

The tranquil nature trails in the forest
And the leisurely nightly strolls
Have become the marches of hell
And the destination the ninth Hades

The mouth-watering delicacies I enjoyed
And the refreshing drinks I savored
Have turned into bitter ashes in my mouth
And hot sulfur flowing in my gut

The knowledge I once earnestly sought
And the tomes I ravished lovingly
Have turned into ominous death omens
And prophesies of all my torments and tortures

The life that I thought wonderfully miraculous
And the creations I found most beautiful
Have turned into screaming nightmare horrors
In a grotesque prison ravaged by the plague

I yearn to die.
