The little kid

he thought he has grown up
but he hides his feet under the blanket
fearing that demon under his bed
will grab his feet and eat him
he gets anxious
in fear he shuts his eyelids
and people say, "He's just a lil kid."
what worries him?

his parents told him
he has grown up
he tried his best to be good enough for everyone
but ended up disappointing his loved ones
guilt and sadness hit him
and people say, "He's just a lil kid."
what worries him?

his friend said to him,
"they have all grown up"
so he kept his feelings to himself
not uttering a single word
he couldn't help but cry in the end
soaked his pillow in tears
he made sure no one hears
his childhood died really quick
and people say, "He's just a lil kid."
what worries him?
