Please My Friend

But please, my friend, just go away,
Don’t give me a hug and hold my hand,
Because there is nothing more anyway.

I know everything will never be okay,
Because no matter how hard we try, we're always walking on sand.
But please, my friend, just go away.

Oh no matter how hard we attempt to downplay,
The various gaping holes continue to expand,
Because there is nothing more anyway.

We could continue down this never ending highway,
Always hoping for a mythical dreamland,
But please my friend, just go away.

You slithered through back alleyways,
Over the hills and though the sea but stop with your plan,
Because there is nothing more anyway.

I really can’t fathom how I can ever repay,
You were my light in this forever tenebrous mind-land,
But please, my friend, just go away,
Because there is nothing more anyway.
