My Mother

Good morning dear Lord. Such a beautiful morning thank you for another day.I need to talk with you please.I'm scared and my heart it's very heavy. My mom, she's so tired she hurts so bad.Can you lay your hands on her, watch over her, so she’ll not be in so much pain. Bring her comfort, and piece. Not only is she the greatest mother,She’s my best friend. She's so heartbroken so empty. She'll say I'm okay, she's really not. For us girls we can see what’s going on.Lord when I ask of these things, please please, don’t take her away from me. See I can’t live without her down here with me, I’d never be able to breathe. Amen

About this poem

My mother isn’t just my mother, she’s also my very best friend, she’s my light. Her health isn’t real great. So I pray.

I’m just a old country girl at heart.I am a mother of three grandmother of four,I’m just a country girl,I have been through love.Blessed with a amazing family. But in life I’ve made some bad decisions in my past domestic abuse substance abuse drinking and the list goes on.Sadly I didn’t listen to anyone friends or family I woke up one day with cast on both arms from shoulders to my fingers.I had memory loss and I still do on somethings,I don’t know what all he done and probably never will.Amazingly I’m still alive GOD has his reasons I’m told.I just started writing what was on my mind at that moment.I hope by sharing my stories that maybe it will help others. We all deserve better God does love us all. more…
