Invisible

Season64 2003 (Cape town)

You can't see me,
You can't hear me,
You can't feel me,
You can't smell me.

I am standing right in front you,
Shouting your name,
Tapping your shoulder,
Wearing your favorite cologne.

But you don't see me,
You don't hear me,
You don't feel me,
You don't smell me.

I stand in front of you so exposed,
Putting my heart on the line,
I don't know what else to do,
Still I will keep on trying.

But you don't see me,
You don't hear me,
You don't feel me,
You don't smell me.

Maybe I didn't try enough? I thought you liked what I said? Why can't you see me? Why can't you hear me? Am I not funny enough?

You don't see me,
You don't hear me,
You don't feel me,
You don't smell me.

You aren't blind.
You aren't deaf.
You have a perfect sense of touch.
You have a perfect sense of smell.

But you don't see me,
You don't hear me,
You don't feel me,
You don't smell me.

Why?
Because no matter how hard I try,
I am still the same to you.

I. Am. Invisible.
