Resting On Broken Glass

Like scattered bits and pieces
energy stored within releases
captured tightly with grasping ends
parts of a whole pulling that extends
out there beyond all comprehension
dreamlike qualities of some other dimension
unpolished with rusty characteristics
so many of us end up as statistics
brushed as dirt beneath some mat
tripped up intentional face falls flat
quick to regain your lost composure
evidence of things done with exposure
standing naked disguised with wear
peering mistakenly many eye's that stare
hardly hit head on accidental collision
your life's due for an overhauled revision
forced reinvention slowly moving parts
yesterday's gone by today's where it starts
taken to the extreme guilty for good
doing the right thing or leaving it as I should
