Come And Gone

The steel with dust
pictures of forgotten shots
Cobwebs of the graceful
luxurious ocean liner spots
Motionless widened eyes
threshold stranger city
Fearfully expectant captives
enraptured warrior pity
Overloaded dogma engraved
loss of expression slight
Slender small window panes
remnants ragged spite
Entering sunburned traveler
across from devastated plains
Cross-stitched embroidered smile
nationalized condescending remains
Telegraph wire organized
vague anxious rumor
Carefully groomed rooms
meticulously tarnished humor
