Alive Inside The Web

Erosion hourglass body and soul
missing elements to fill the whole
indents aesthetics bruised and scarred
cover showing aging signs and marred
spirit lifted or downright broken
early morning struggles go unspoken
at what stage is morality true
some inherently born with and knew
the healing wheel of time forgotten
rolling around again, feeling so rotten
erase the mind with one simple drink
bartender, serves up another to think
convoluted life lows and highs
social get-togethers and shorter good-byes
there and done, yielding just what
infinitely two doors open, three doors shut
the expense of prices large or small
acts of your sin and you pay for them all
shameful guilty atomized existence
alive inside the web of resistance
