"The Night"

The eerie wind blows, the rustling trees blow,
The cat meows, complaining of the day,
The cavern echoes faintly down below,
The bright moon glows, a sky that is dark gray,

The frogs burp in peace, the birds chirp with peace,
Grass rustles, plants sleep, earthworms dig, all stir,
The pond water moves, the pond good for geese,
The night is dark, all alive, quite a blur,

Footsteps sound, all creature life awaken,
Birds wings flutter, monarchs start their long trip,
The beauty of the night has me shaken,
The dew on the myriad of leaves drip,

The allure of the forest has me drawn,
There is a view of a graceful black swan.
