THE DEADLY TEMPTRESS

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

A deadly temptress
Luring men to her bed,
Killing them in the night

A passionate woman
Whose loving saps the strength,
And life right away.

Loving men to death
Leaving nothing but ashes,
The Deadly Temptress.

Luring and loving
Are her specialties,
Also killing men.

She gives her lovers
The best night of their lives,
Also their very last.

Few men can resist
The deadly temptress's charms,
Her sensual call to death.

Some men may hesitate
Then follow the temptress,
Walking to their doom.

Only total disdain
Weakens her attraction,
Even causes her pain.

Avoid her powers
Refuse her sweet advances,
And yet you may live.

But most men give in
Following the temptress,
Leading them to their deaths.

Her evil powers
Of sexual attraction
Are usually too strong.
