Secret Garden of Prayer

Carry everything to Our Master’s throne.
Seek out prayer’s sacred zone.

Daily Tasks never postpone,
Small stuff hardly overblown.

If others sport expressions of stone,
Wanton wishes they enthrone.

One’s transgressions one must own,
Forgiveness, mercy, ever shown.

In prayer friendship becomes full-blown,
One thrives, really never alone.

A painted bird, inevitably flown,
Needs each skill she is shown.

Tulip bulbs in rich earn sown,
Shoot up in vibrant tone.

My prayers into a secret garden grown,
Yield bits of wisdom I may hone.
