from a frankfurt bridge

The sun is setting,
but the bankers have long been home already.
their role in the worship of capital
awaits their morning return
to the cubbies in the spires of money.
Still, the shoulders they stand on
                                                         keep working
plying the even more consistent waters below
I smile
without everything that made this scene possible
I would never be here to see it.
