To Save The Moon

Samuel B. Duff 1981 (Michigan)

I dreamed
my dream may finally be
successful mission.
I stepped into a mirror to
Become reflection.
I traveled to,
and through this truth,
then found perception.
Unraveled now,
how I was bound
By old deceptions.
Feeling bright and cool
Passion begging more;
In a mountains fist,
I heard you.
I searched in all the earth
For naught, and found it empty.
Echoing heart unheard by god,
I begged for blessings.
I knew that you must need me too,
so I looked skywards.
Some doom trapped
In the moon
My star crossed lover.
Reeling fight won;
Rule passions;
Bleeding war;
In a showdowns bliss,
I found you.
I freed
The dream I seek.
Finally nearing fruition,
I leapt into a mirror who
gives introspection.
I travel to wherever you are
bound and fettered.
Unveiling ground,
I’ve come around,
we’re now forever.
Feeling light and new
Passion springing forth;
Spirits intertwined
Body, Heart, and Mind;
In a fountains mist,
I saved you.
