Immortal Scars

Shame I can not shake
ugliness clearly put on display.
Shattered heart never mended
life written upon my flesh.
Apologetic for unfading scars
Regretful battles raging in my mind
Over powerful voice yelling
" Put down the knife"
Shameful, falling again
As another cutting is treated
Can't stop releasing tears
Starring down at blood stained wrist
Desperately wishing to end this
A battle closely lost
And have begun again
As another cut spills more pain
Living with immortal scars
