An Unknowing Know

An Unknowing Know

The sadness is profound
As thoughts and emotions drown
In a river of mourning tears
I bathe my corporeal sphere
As it spins wildly out of control

The Sun sprays its joyful rays
Yet all I see is haze
Through myopic clouds of gray
While sorrow rains steadily down
I slip, I fall...I drown

Up the stream, I swim
Mid the mocking evil grins
Of a soulless humankind
Who all claim to know
A truly unknowing know

Guidance comes, left and right
Beckoning me to see the light
To shake it off, like dust and dirt
As if they understood my hurt
Yet it remains an unknowing know

A thorn beside, piercing flesh
The sting of life, the hope of death
A perilous ledge of life I walk
To either side, I dare not walk
Left and right, dust and dirt

Agony, my constant friend
Without pardon or amend
A ‘know’ I know all too well
That living is a living hell
A ‘know’ I know all too well
