I wonder why

Sarvesh Jewalikar 2005 (Nanded)

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To be a savior who will purify this world not realizing I am only the filth destroying its beauty.

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To be a singer who will keep on singing for eternity not realizing I sing like a goat.

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To be a space nerd who will make history not realizing I hate mathematics and physics.

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To live a normal life not realizing my efforts are below normal.

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To spend the rest of my life with someone I love not realizing that there's no such person in this world.

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To see fantasies become a reality not realizing that this reality can't fulfill my fantasies.

Well I wonder why I have my hopes up.
To try to survive each day happily before other not realizing that I don't wanna live any further.
