You Hold Me

There are times I feel alone
In a crowded room I’m on my own
Surrounded by people I get over looked
Trying to be myself only to be mistook

In the darkness of the night
All the tears and all the fright
I smile happily
Because you hold me

When I felt no one was there
And that no one would care
Your love shined like a star
Deep inside my heart is where you are

Even with all the doubt
Trying to work things out
I know there will be glory
Because you hold me

Forsake you before your people
You’ll forsake them before your father just as equal
And it is in your word I find peace of mind
When inside myself I’m hard to find

You died on the cross your love so strong
A man among men who didn’t belong
You brought back my sight to see
You’d always hold me

I get lost in your solemn
Lose my every problem
The darkness inside me fades away
Because you are here to stay

Risen from the grave to give hope and show love
Shining your light from up above
There’s an happy ending to my story
Because when I pass, you’ll be there to hold me.
