The wise man

GIDRAF MWANGI 1992 (Murang'a)

Down the alley he walks
On his lips a cigar dangles
Dodging people, majestically he trots
Oscillating eyes on paper in his palms

When you greet respectfully
Holding out your left hand beautifully
With rebuke he will answer scornfully
Hating that you are not wise fully

When he meets a beggar
He decidedly offers a dollar
While proudly leaving without an utter
He tells that when given something to say thanks after

When his young boy fails in school
He usually calls him a fool
While he never advises him, just sits on stool
How can he expect the boy not to fail?

He usually says all is vanity
While gauging his life there is no parity
He loves beer and holidaying usually
Whence then can he say its vanity?

The fool!!!
